Cornell Wins Bid for NYC Tech Campus

Cornell will build a Technology Campus in New York City.  The new campus will not only contribute to immediate jobs in construction, but eventually is expected to generate more than $23 billion in economic activity.  The proposal includes a venture capital fund designed to support New York's tech startup community.

Black Friday isn't what it used to be.  While many critics bemoaned the incursion of Black Friday onto Thanksgiving, with the likes of Walmart and Toys"R"Us opening their doors Thursday evening, the real news is the increase in online sales.  The Wall Street Journal reported increases of over 24% in online sales this past "Black Friday."  Some retailers are even bringing "the web" to reality, with kiosks erected in malls and transportation terminals to access their online sales.

New York and New Jersey Bar Exam Results Released

Congratulations are in order for all of the recent passing candidates that took the New Jersey and/or New York bar exams this past July, 2011.  New Jersey is reporting a pass rate of 82.92% and New York has reported a passing rate of 69.2% for all candidates.   More information, including a list of successful candidates can be found on New York and New Jersey's websites.

Congratulations to all that passed.
